  • HD Extreme output problems?

    Posted by Steve Cohen on July 23, 2006 at 3:03 am

    I’m having problems getting video out onto my LCD monitor from Final Cut Pro 5.0.

    Monitor is a Advent LCD TV I have the component out of the HD Extreme going to the compnent in of the monitor.
    The monitor is set to 720p. I have tried 480i and 1080i and all I see is the desktop background.

    I can’t get Final Cut to play out ot that monitor.I have tried numerous setting on FCP, to many to remember right now and no luck.

    Can some one suggest a starting point.

    I don’t have any decks hooked up to the system at this point, I’m just trying to get Output monitoring setup.

    Thanks

    Hi Steven,

    Have you used the easy setups we provide in FCP?

    Make sure you create a new sequence as easy setups do not affect existing ones.

    Hi Steve,

    Please make sure you’re in an account with admin rights, then try reinstalling the Blackmagic drivers again. You can find the latest version on our site here:

    Kristian;

    Thanks, that did it.

    I don’t understand, those were the same drivers I originally downloaded and installed.

    I never install drivers from the CD, becuase they are usually not current.

    Thanks
