HD export from Avid Newscutter to PPro 1.5.1
I find myself in a situation where I have to export 4 minutes of HD video ingested from a Canon HV30 camera in a format that will allow more editing in PPro 1.5.1 with the final target a 1280×720 quick time movie for “Vimeo” type of distribution.
The only HD format option I have in Avid is 1080i.
Exporting Quicktime “none” results in a file that is 48 gigs, which isn’t working.
Any other options for exporting from Avid a smaller file that will allow me to continue editing the material in PPro 1.5 while maintaining reasonable quality or is this just not going to work.
Any advice would be appreciated.

DnxHD codecs that will work in Premiere are downloadable from the Avid website. Not sure if they will work on 1.5, but my guess is that they would.
