HD capture RAID?
Posted by Liam Stephens on June 12, 2006 at 1:46 amAnyone know what the the cheapest/most effective RAID or hard drive i would need to capture uncompressed HD? If u can also point me int eh right direction would be great 🙂 Thx in advance

Handles uncompressed 10-bit HD rather nicely.

June 12, 2006 at 6:59 amDual 1Ghz G5? Is there such a model? Or are you talking Dual 1Ghz G4. A G4 isn’t up to editing uncompressed HD. But It does have far more slots for drives, so yeah, the drive array would work fine. But the processor wouldn’t be.
YOu need a G5 for uncompressed HD.
