  HD Audio Over-modulated?

  During the recording of clips, audio sounds fine, levels look ok. But when I play the clips back, they sound over-modulated, the levels still look ok though. I’m working in SD at 48Khz using Media100i uncompressed codec in this instance.

  Input path:
  BetaSP -> Mackie1202VLZ-Mixer -> CreativeCowA/D -> Media100HD

  The source tape sounds clean and it sounds ok at the mixer. I swapped the CreativeCowA/D box with another we have but no change.

  I opened some other projects that sound fine on playback.

  Any thoughts on what this problem is?
