  HC-X1000 card slot 1 is not working

  Hello,
  I’ve been using the HC-X1000 camera for several years. In recent months, the SD card slot 1 is no longer working. I can see images recorded on it while it’s in slot one (it was recorded on slot 2 and then viewed on slot one), so you can see images recorded in a separate slot. However, it will not record from slot one. So, therefore, the auto SW is not working. I have to record on slot 2 and then switch out the cards. My settings are correct on the camera. It seems to be a tech issue. Any troubleshooting work-arounds for it, other than sending in my camera for repair? Thanks!
