Noone was helping me on the basics forum sooo…
I’m very new to Adobe After Effects and I need to learn how to use the Fireworks Cascade seen in this video:

Assuming you have the Pyro Pack from Trapcode’s Particular page as mentioned previously, you would use the cascade one and put your image behind it (lowest in the layer stacking order.

could you explain how to do that? I have no idea how to use after effects after I start it. Noone on the basics forum is helping me so yeah. you could make it for me if you wanted. but if that’s too much could you tell me how to do it myself? Please.

I have after effects cs4. btw, I just watched your demo reel, I’m assuming that’s all made in after effects, if so, that’s amazing.

Thank you for the compliment on my demo reel. Yes; it’s all in AE.
I haven’t looked at that particular Particular project myself, but it should be as simple as importing your footage or picture into the project and dragging your footage/picture from the project window into the timeline.
Please, for the love of all things good and holy, read your After Effects documentation. Have the documentation open in one window while you play with AE in another. Follow along, play with what the documentation is talking about.
Before you start trying to create such advanced effects, you need to learn the basics of the program. It is a very complicated piece of software that can do amazing things, but you absolutely must learn the basics first. It’s not an easy program to master. If you want to do cool things, it will take some time. That’s why people like me can sometimes charge over $100 an hour for our work.
