HAWAIKI keyer
Posted by Viktor Kamenický on November 18, 2020 at 12:31 pmHi guys, does anyone of you have any experience with Hawaiki plugin? I want a better and easier keyer than the built in one.
Thanks!

November 19, 2020 at 7:14 amI’ve used it for years and like it.
Easy to use. Great results.
You can get good keys quickly. You can also dig deep and fine tune keys with countless individual settings.
Since the video is shot in my green screen studio and the lighting is the same for each shoot, once I get a really good key, I can usually cut and paste the attributes and the new key is pretty close to perfect. With slight variations due to the subject’s clothing, skin and hair coloring. -

November 19, 2020 at 2:22 pmI love Hawaiki keyer. It is eons better quality than the built in keyer. I also use it in Ae rather than Keylight. There is a bit of a learning curve, but it’s not difficult. I’d suggest watching the walkthroughs on YouTube from the developer, Simon Ubsdell. I’d start with the v4 walkthrough and then move on to the v4.5 features, even though 4.5 adds new features with “screen clean”.
