  • Having Troubles with FCP X Multicam Clip Function…..

Posted by Chad Graves on August 28, 2013 at 11:43 pm

Hello, I am using Multicam clip for the first time in Final Cut Pro X. So I have 3 Camera Angles that I am using, I am going through using the multicam clip function, and as I am editing, I use my blade and I delete the video of all the 3 camera angles. As I am delete these parts of my source video, it leaves gaps between all of the videos I want to use. I realize all 3 clips are synced together through my audio, but now I am done with the syncing, I want to get rid of those gaps. I have tried to delete those gaps and FCP X won’t let me. Is there Another Way of deleting these gaps?

Thank you for your time and help,
    Chad

Are you in the multicam editor or a project timeline. The multicam editor is for editing the sync and order of multicam clips, not for making actual edits. To do that you should place your multicam in a project.
