having trouble importing P2 files into Final Cut 6.02
Dear Creative Cow Crew,
I am having problem importing some files from P2 into Final Cut 6. I see files in Log in and Transfer window but cannot import some of them into Final Cut. Most files import just fine but a few give unknown error. I have tried unchecking “remove advance pulldown” in the log in an transfer window, but that did not solve it. Any ideas?

I’ve had this problem a couple of times. The following things helped at different times:
1.Check your Firewire cable. It might be faulty
2.Check 1394CONTROL settings (in case of Panasonic camera)
3.Change the FCP machine (shouldn’t be a problem if you’re at uni)
4.Make sure you have the latest P2 drivers for your Mac Os version.Hope it helps.
