Having text come from “behind” an object. A question about masks.
I’m sure this is a simple questions. I have a very basic 3D scene. In the middle I have a very thin vertical layer (made by masking a solid). I want to have text appear as if its coming out of this layer. I have a lot of text, and plan on updating this project weekly changing the text layers. So the vertical line that all of the text will be coming “from behind” will be static.
The only way I can figure this out (in 3D space), is to animate a layer mask as I’m animating the position. This works ok, but is a huge pain for lots of text elements that will be changing in length frequently.
Is there a better way to do this? Sorry for the noob questions.
