  • Having some issues with bluring with precomps

Posted by Graber on November 16, 2006 at 2:04 am

I am working on a project where a pice of footage is precomped several times, After a while the video footage beings to blur. Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening or how to fix it?

    Thanks

hard to say without seeing what you are doing to the comps. why so many precomps?

There is no quality loss with pre-comping…unless one of the precoms (you need to go back and checK) has some type of filter on it, or if the size property has been set to above 100%.

Most likely you are scaling, rotating or slightly moving one of the pre-comps somewhere. Due to the sub-pixel sampling it will soften slightly. Either find the offending items and correct that or use continuous rasterization to folds all transforms and only have them calculated in the last step.
