  • Having no luck exporting to 16:9 Widescreen

Posted by Steve Caruso on February 10, 2011 at 1:17 am

I’ve read a bunch of forums and tried everything but I must of messed up something up early on because I keep getting 4:3 even though I am changing all sorts of things anamorphic 16:9 , pixel rations to 853 x 480. Nothing it working.

Here’s what I can tell you, I uploaded the footage on a G5 then transfered it to a Hard Drive and have been editing it on my mac, all the images were small on the canvas so I manually expanded all of them. (I’m thinking thats where I messed up) Does anyone have any idea how I can fix this up to be able to export correctly to 16:9. Need more info?

    [Steve Caruso] “Need more info?”

Yes. Sequence settings, file attributes, viewing setup, intended usage etc.

    A. all your clips are shot anamorphic and have the anamorphic flag in item properties.
    B. your sequence settings are SD Anamorphic.
    C. Copy your timeline. Select ALL , then remove attributes. Scaling and distortion.

    Timeline should be good now.
