  • Having Layers React Based on a Mouse Position in a Fake Website Animation

So I am reating some fake website for TV purposes, and I want to be able to animate the mouse layer and have my various other layers react based on where the mouse is, rather than having to hand animate each layer’s reaction.

The types of reactions I’m looking at having are probably fairly simple.

One being the mouse goes over a photo, and after a slight mouse pause, and it scales up in the matter of a few frames and goes over the other layers.

The other being, more of a position and scale based animation, where 3 layers might fan out to reveal themselves when being moused over.

Obviously, I know how to animate these by hand, and that might just wind up being the easiest route, but if anyone knows of any scripts or expressions that might do this automatically based on the main mouse layers position, that would be great.

    Thanks so much.

P.S. If it’s easier to do these based on time remapping precomp values, that would work for me as well. So really then, it would just be triggering a time remap based on mouse overlay.
