Having issues with aligning text
Hi all, this is my first post. I’ve been using Vegas Pro 12 since the start of this year, only for very specialised things so I don’t have a wide range of knowledge.
I’m planning on having a series of clips in the one video, and these will all have two subtitle type things in the bottom left corner, directly above/below each other. These will be different for each clip, and therefore the text will be different lengths. I want to have all these boxes of text aligned to the left, so when a clip transitions to the next, the first letter of each title will be in the same spot. I hope that makes sense.
However, my problems arise when I make a longer (or shorter) title. Even when choosing the left align button, the text will grow outwards on each side, rather than grow only to the right, which is what I want. I assume this is because the “position” is the centre of the text box, when I would prefer it to be the left.
Is there a solution to this? I don’t want to manually try and align all these text boxes, it would take an age. I feel like I haven’t explained my problem well so I am very happy to answer any questions. Thanks

If you are using the Titles and Text plug-in change the anchor point to the left side. The align left/center/right buttons align relative to the anchor point. T&T coordinates are relative to the bottom left corner.
In you are using Protype titler then this is the center item on the transform tab. Protype coordinates are relative to the screen center.
If you are using another titler, you will have to manually align the left sides since their anchor point is always the center.

I am having this same issue on SV Pro 12. I have set the anchor point to the left, and set the justification to the left, but all text continues to originate from the center. I am achieving my text changes using keyframes along the along the timeline.
I am creating a youth sports reel, where I want the following sentence to remain justified left
“Goal vs. Team A” followed by “Goal vs. Team XYZ” etc. and wish for the “Goal vs.” part to remain fixed while only the opposing team varies.I must be doing something wrong. Any/all guidance would be appreciated.
