Having a problem swapping projects with another editor fcp x 10.1
Hello guys, I am currently working with another editor. We both have the same project and media on both of our hard drives. When I give him an event or project with the edits that I have done, fcpx wants us to relink the media which we do but then it immediately begins to start copying over all of the media which we already both have on our hard drives. This is becoming very frustrating because it is 60 gig worth of media every time I give him a event with edits we have to wait for 60 gigs worth to copy over when my hard drive already has the media on it. I am wondering if their is a way around this since I already have the media on my hard drive and in fcpx already? Sorry if I am not extremely clear if you need more information just ask me! Thanks!

There should be a little check you can uncheck in the Reconnect Media box that says Copy Files To:
That should do it.
