  Have a 8800 GT – Add another one or go with and mix an ATI?

  Hi,

  I have an 8 core Mac with a Nvidia 8800 GT. I need another monitor, I have 2 now and could really use another one or two.

  0. Should I stay with the same brand (another Nvidia 8800GT) to avoid conflicts or should I go with one of the more powerful ATI’s?

  1. Can certain programs use the GPU of both cards?

  2. If certain programs only use the GPU of 1 card only can you specify which card? Which one does it default to?

  3. So, if anyone owns a 8800 GT. Have you added a second card? Which one did you add?
