has this happened to you????
somethign crazy is going on and i think it is after effects.
i export with animation codec with alpha as a quicktie movie.
i import it into Avid with Invert Alpha and Lower Field dominant.
my movie is compleletly black in avid. nothing shows up.
if i change the settings to import with No field dominance. the movie comes in with the alpha.
so…i went to after effects, reset the preferences and started a new project. made some text and outputed animcation codec with alpha again and imported to avid with lower field dominace.
it finally worked.
what is going on???? anyone have this happen to them??? i can’t get my animations to open in avid correctly??

Just a longshot:
AE can embed a link inside a quicktime movie: this link tells what comp it was rendered from. That way AE can intelligently do a replace or something.
since CS, you apparantly can even embed the entie project inside metadata.
Maybe some setting like that trips off avid.
