Harry Frank’s Shatter Effect with Shard Control?

Hi Gang,

I recently viewed Harry Frank’s excellent tutorial for doing a shatter effect with expressions. You may view the tutorial here:

My question is this: Is there a way to control/manipulate the pieces as they assemble? As it stands, each of the pieces moves in a linear way (regarding its trajectory, no its rate of travel), and I was hoping to add some more character to its motion path. It would be great to do something as simple as applying a sine wave, but it was also be helpful to have more control over it. With my limited JavaScript knowledge, I tried to hack together something that would work, but to no avail. Hence why I’m here!
