Hardware configuration for video editing
Hello,
I want to put together a new system for video editing primarily on Adobe Premiere Pro and AfterEffects. I would be very grateful for some advice from experienced users on which hardware I should choose – CPU, GPU (supporting hardware acceleration), Motherboard, how much RAM etc. I work mainly with FullHD AVCHD video from Canon DSLRs, 1080i video from JVC HD-GY 201, 720p video from JVC HD-GY 111 etc., but I would like to build a system that will last some time. I would also like to fit into a budget of cca 2000$, if it would be possible.

Great recommendation from Chris! Our last 3 editing machines have been built following these guides, and we’ve been quite pleased with all 3.
