  Hardware configuration for smooth time lapse playback

  Hi, I’m building a new computer for editing and would like to optimize my hardware for smooth un-rendered timelapse playback.

  Can anyone with a lot of experience with time lapse comment on their hardware, what speeds they are able playback without dropping frames, what they render vs playback, etc?
