    Hey guys

Trying to upgrade my macbook pro’s hard drive substantially.
Is there anything outthere you’d recommend? I’m streaming off a firewire 800 drive now and it runs great, but I want to try to cram
    200gigs into it.

What are you trying to use the space for? What I mean is, what is it that’s on the FW800 drive now?

If it’s video then you should stick with the external drive. Running your media from the same drive that the editing application lives on will degrade your performance.

If it’s something you have to do (editing on an airplane, maybe? Or out in nature?) then you have to do it, but if you’re set up on a table somewhere, I’d just plug in the 2nd hard drive.

But if you need extra space you should check these guys out:
