    Hello everyone!

    I’m trying to render a grass made with Fur trough a transparency shpere, but it doesn’t render. Inside of the sphere is always black.

    What’s wrong?

    I had that problem once but only when there was refraction in the glass material I think I ended up converting my hair into polygons and that worked….but then you loose the dynamics of the hair.
    Hopefully someone else can answer you properly.

    In the Generate Tab of the hair object change the type “type” then it will render. You can still use wind and stuff on it too. You can also make it editable. You will however loose the Hair material.

    There is a a tutorial here that lets you know about a few more advanced hair options too.

    Hi guys, I know it’s an old thread, but I hope it could help other people too.
    In Render Settings – Hair Render, just tick the box “Transparency” and “Reflection/Refraction/Traced Shadows” and you’ll be able to render it without geometry.
