    hi guys…

the pic bellow is a test i’m working on. Looking for a way to apply gravity effect to the branch like hairs. of course i could comb it but it doesn’t look as natural…cant seem to figure the forces setting out using gravity (under hair obj), does this require a hair tag of some sort? Any ideas or suggestions? Just want it to look like there heavy and gravity is pulling them down some.

also looks like they are flat at the roots rather than a natural rounded flavor…feels like a modeling issue rather than lighting…any suggestions to solve this?

For gravity to work you have to have hair dynamics turned on, and you have to run the timeline so it can take effect.

Regarding the roots, you can change the setting in the hair object’s generate tab to something other than none to get a more rounded look. But then you will lose the lighting/coloring effect of the hair shader.
