    Hi,

We are building a OSX / Windows machine for our grade suite. It will sit along side our current Mac Pro 4,1 which will be a scopes machine and emergency back up

I know GPUs have been well discussed here and I’ve read a lot of what people have to say here and elsewhere.

I’m thinking of building the system around a single titan (to be expanded to 2 titans later) over the 790 based on the announcement (leak) from RED about 3rd party GPU and the fact Peter C says the titan will be the recommended card in v10 -with that in mind would those who previously were in favour of the 790 over the titan now think the titan is a better bet in this system?

I’m also thinking of running the GUI from the mobo gpu via TB to display port. Will that work in resolve or is resolve looking for a pci GPU for the GUI?

Finally whilst I have you all here, does anyone have any sage words about the merits of i7 vs. xeon in a hackintosh for Resolve?

    Many Thanks,

    Michael
