  h.264/avc file size…

  Whenever I render (or convert) my videos to h.264/avc files…they are relatively big files. However, quicktime trailers (in the h.264 480p setting) are only 40 MB for every 2:00 minutes.

  The quality (480P) is obviously very impressive. How do they compress it to that file size w/o ruining the image?

  Also, I can’t find a converter program that has 480P as an option. Is it available for consumer use?
