    Hi,
    I have recently purchased a second hand Hitachi C35 DZHV-593E video camera off Ebay. The recorded file format is H264 AVI 1280×720 29 fpsec. My Vegas Pro 10 will not import the files to the timeline. What do I need to convert the files to in order to edit them in Vegas, without losing quality.

    Try installing the x264vfw codec. That should allow you to read the files in Vegas Pro. Otherwise use a utility like AviDemux 2.5 to convert them to M-JPEG or some other editable format.
