Basically, I have edited a 2 hour Movie that was shot on the CANON 7D. I edited using FCP. I now have a two hour sequence that I am trying to export to DVD and maintain quality. But when I export the movie as QUICKTIME MOVIE. it either crashes or UNEXPECTADELY quits.

I know I am stupid for editing them in H264 formats, but i have only just learnt this. Can I convert them to easier to edit formats from the timeline. But only the clips on the timeline as I have hours of raw footage.

Or should i convert all raw footage then go through timeline reconnecting media to the newly converted clips?

Any help would be great? Does anyone understand me here ?

    Thank you
    Charlie

you can media manager everything on FCP ( convert everything to Apple Pro Res HQ) it will take forever, but it can work, and then export that via Compressor because I think the lack of RAM will make it crash, hope this helps
