  H.264, DVI ADPCM file works better in FCP without conversion?

  I don’t know much about the file, but Get Info says “H.264, DVI ADPCM” (1080).

  I’ve always been told that I should convert all files to the codec I’m using in my FCP sequence settings. So, I’m working in Apple Intermediate Codec. I use MPEG Streamclip to convert this file in question, but it then has a slight stutter every second or so. If I just put the original file in my FCP AIC sequence and render it, it looks okay.

  Any ideas why this would be?
