Grouping clips
hi,
I am new to Sony Vegas (and to video editing).I add several clips into a timeline and I would like to group them toghether so that when I move one clip in the timeline, the whole group moves together (and their audio).
My problem is that “group -> create new” (seems it’s what I am looking for) is always greyed out. After googling, I have checked that I have “Ignore event grouping” unchecked, so this wouldn’t be the problem.
could someone give me a little piece of advice? thanks!

Did you select all the events you wanted grouped first? BTW, “G” will also create a new group and “U” will UNgroup.

yes, I selected the clip (I go to the beginning of the group, right-click with the mouse, go to the end, and do shift+rightclik). All the region is “selected” (blue) in the timeline, but operation to “Group” are always greyed out.

Don’t do a right-click or shift+right-click.
Just click on the first one, shift-click on the last one and then group them.
