  grey and black stripes in 16:9 24P footage

  Hi there!

  FCP HD 4.5
  Dual 2.5 G5
  OSX 10.3.6

  I am trying to edit a piece shot 24P Advanced on a DVX-100A.
  Anamorphic using Squeeze Mode
  I did the rev-telecine in Cinema Tools, and the clips came out fine.

  When I bring the clips into an Anamorphic 24P FCP project, the look fine…

  *until* I try and put a text crawl over some of the video. Then what happens is I get grey, black or striated vertical bars on the right side of the image. The footage also gets squished horizontally.

  I also get these bars when I do an export to a self contained DV file.

  I’ve tried trashing FCP prefs, to no avail.
