    Hello all,

I love you all for helping me each and every time I have a problem.

I have a subject holding a TV with a green screen on the TV and I want to insert a logo to fill the green screen, but there is zooming in and zooming out so the size of the TV screen changed. Is there any way to do that cleanly in FCP. I also have AE, and am starting to play with the motion tracking, but don’t really know what I am doing. Please lead me in the right direction. Thank you for all your help.

    Hi Lorenzo,
I would try it using AE. Use corner pin /tracking to track your logo onto the screen. I`m no AE pro and not sitting in front of it right now but you should make sure AE considers translation and zoom. The resulting matchmove should leave the logo a bit larger than your screen to compensate for the bulge of the screen used in your shot. If you got your logo tracked onto the screen you then can use e.g Keylight to pull the matte for the final shot. Hope this gives a hint the right way.
    Yours sincerely Hans

If you have AE CS4, the Mocha Track will help you immensely especially if the camera is zooming and shaking a bit. There are great tutorials here on the cow and on Mocha’s website. Likewise, within AE you’ll have better keying tools like the aforementioned Key Light.

Motion will key with Primatte, and has tracking controls built in as well.

To track in FCP you might look at Red Giant’s WARP. I know you can do corner pinning and all that, not sure about tracking.
