Green & Red Pixel Anomalies Apple Monitor
I have a Quad G5 with 8GB RAM that I recently upgraded to the new FCP and OS 10.4.6. When I’m in FCP, I sometimes see green or red pixels on the screen where black edges in pictures are. But, I am guessing this is not an FCP issue, because since my OS upgrade, I have seen these pixels all over my desktop background also. They are not dead pixels and they disappear/move when actions are taken. I don’t think my 23″ cinema display monitor is to blame either, because it worked fine with the old OS and I have an identical system in the other room that has the saem problem after upgrade. I have seen many posts about this on Apple, but no one has an answer other than an “exchange monitor” answer, which is clearly not the solution since they worked fine before the upgrade and both have the same problem. Has anyone run into this issue or know how to fix it? I have a GeForce 6600 video card in case anyone thinks that may be an issue.
