I was recently filming a Christmas party, where there were red lamps, and dark red dishes. In my footage, I have bright green pixels flashing in all of these objects.

There were other red objects that were opaque (cupcakes, and clothing), which do NOT have the green pixels flashing.. It’s just the dark red glass plates, and the red lamps.

I was using a Canon XLs1, filming in mostly automatic mode. Does anyone know why this would have happened?

Thanks in advance, (if anyone knows the answer) 🙂

I’m guessing you’re picking up the CFL lights off the reflectable objects. That’s why the clothes don’t have it. The lights are dropping in frequency from bouncing off the glassy surfaces. post a screenshot so that perhaps others can make a more informed assessment. you will probably have to roto those and desaturate the greens in them manually.
