  • Green Line when rendering to You Tube on Sony 11

Posted by Linda O’connell on September 17, 2012 at 4:45 pm

    Hi,
I chose “Upload to You Tube” default on Vegas Pro 11. When it rendered and uploaded it is showing a green line down the right hand side.
Even if I just look at the rendered file it has the green line, so it’s not a You Tube problem.

The green there is there throughout the video.

    Please see attached picture.

I had a problem similar to this before in that a huge green screen would show in the beginning of the video for a split second and then go to the video. I fixed that by adding a black background 2 seconds before.
    Thanks for any input/ideas.

Render using a different template instead, like the
Sony AVC template and see if its still there….Its
    normally a codec issue.

As well as Steve’s suggestion, I have also seen this when the “Maintain Aspect Ratio box” in the properties is either ticked or not ticked. I can’t remember which way it was, but I guess the opposite of what the setting it is now…

Get the vegasaur render to youtube plugin, that solved it for me.
