I am working in FCPS2. We shoot on XHA1’s, several in fact, and the issue persists so its not a camera issue. Capture is done through an HV30 via HDMI and Blackmagic card. Out of nowhere a green line on the top edge of the footage has appeared. It simply looks like a green outline, but its only on the top. Even when I’m just playing the footage and watching via log and capture its there. At first I figured it wouldn’t be there once I captured, but it is. I have no idea where it came from or how to “turn it off”. Anybody seen this before?? TIA!

I’ve never captured via HDMI but sounds like a sync problem. Do you see the same green line when playing out from the HDMI onto a monitor? Is your editor hooked up to a sync source, if not you might need to dabble with some of the sync settings on you decklink card.

Sounds like an Interlace issue to me. I’ve had similar things before in Avid, not sure about solution but certainly look into deinterlacing the footage.
