Green Horizontal Lines in Capture (AJA Io XT & HD10AVA)

I’m not familiar with the HD10ava but do you have the dip switches in the correct positions for what your doing? I’m guessing that you have some setting off some where, what are your capture settings? What app are you capturing in? Are you up scaling on input? How are you monitoring?

Horizontal green stripes can mean any thing from a failure to a sync issue.

Please post a picture here and make sure that you have it when you contact Aja Tech support tomorrow.

They will be able to help you with both items to debug your issues.

& It might be the tape, can’t rule anything out.

VHS consumer VTRs will typically require the use of a time base corrector to produce a stable output signal that can be fed to non-linear editors and professional hardware. In all likelihood, the cause of the issue in this case is the video output of the VTR without a timebase corrector in the signal path.
