  • Green band on imported MP4

Posted by Roli Rivelino on June 4, 2011 at 11:43 pm

I’ve converted an flv to an Mp4 and brought them into my project. The files are too long to convert to pro res so I’m just working as is.

My problem is I’m getting a thin green band along the bottom of the video, I’m wondering will that band still be there after I export?

    Many thanks.

[Roli Rivelino] “I’ve converted an flv to an Mp4”

MP4 files are NOT a proper editing format.

Convert to a proper editing format before importing into FCP.

I’m using any video converter pro, what format should I be converting to, MP2 maybe?

No that’s not a proper editing format ether.

Look at the list of easy setups. Those are all proper editing formats.

Yes, your easy setups – match one of them.

FCP wants to see .MOV files in regulation sizes.

Why don’t you check it your self?
