I am about to begin editing a project of some college Fraternities and I need to have their Greek letters on the screen. Someone mentioned that I can access them from the Chararacter Pallete on my computer but am confused how to get those characters to show up in FCP or Motion whichever one I decide to use.

It’s simple. Once you’ve got you’ve got your blank text clip on your timeline (it says Sample Text in the box), double click that clip to open it in the Viewer. Now highlight that “Sample Text” text in Viewer’s Control tab.
Access your Character Palette from desktop’s bar – Show Character Palette.
Character Palette will pop up on top of your Final Cut.
Now, choose one letter you want to use and click Insert with Font button on the bottom
of the Character Palette. You will see that letter now in your Control tab in your Viewer.
Now select the second letter, this is how it works for me, letter by letter.

Some letters might not show up correctly in your Control tab, but if you check in Timeline,
they look exactly as in Character Palette.
