Anyone know how to create the crumbling sandstone look of te ancient Great Pyramid’s in Egypt? I need to apply to a block of text sitting in the sand. Anyone know how to create the material or know where a great tutorial might be found?
    thanks!!

There’s a real popular tile right now being installed in homes that is basically a wheathered sandstone. Pretty expensive stuff, but you’d only need a few tiles to get enough pictures to make some really cool textures. I would think that stuff would be excellent for what you’re asking…

You’d need to take some pictures of the tiles and then load it into photoshop and edit it so it tiles smoothly/seamlessly.
