Okay so I have this house scene and I really want to make some nice grass for it.

To make the grass I used fur, and I have the fur material settings all cranked up to illuminate it and make it green, but my grass is still plain black.

I tried turning off all of the shadows in the material menu’s, but no luck.

I am using an HDRI image material on the sky, does that have anything to do with it? I also have global illumination on in the render settings.

I seriously have no idea what to do.

with hair and GI lighting you can change Render Settings/Hair Render/Render/Render to Raytrace but that doesn’t seem to work with Fur (which is isn’t showing for me except when it’s cached and the color is black) or you can put a light in that only lights the fur nothing else.

Turning off global illumination completely made the fur green too. I think I’ll check out putting lights on the fur, thanks!
