Activity Forums Maxon Cinema 4D Grass

    Hi all,

I’ve got a scene where I use grass in patchy spots. I’m making the grass using the hair tool (it just looks nicer than fur) but the problem is that where the patch stops the grass just squares off, which doesn’t look that realistic.
Is there a way that I can make the grass thin out as it gets towards the edges of the patch?

    Thanks

    Nick Anarky

in the Hair material activate the Length channel and put a texture (handmade image or a circular or box gradient perhaps) in that to control the length

    Thanks ^_^
I’ve found that adding a gradient to the density tab on Guides works pretty good as well.
