I have a G5 2.0 Dual. My graphics card is the GeForce FX 5200. I’ve come across an NVIDIA GeForce 7900 that is currently residing in a Dell PC. I would like to upgrade the G5 and was wondering if I could take the 7900 out of the PC and use it in the G5 without any issues?

No, the 7900 is not made for mac, not to mention even if it was, I am assuming your G5 is early 2005 which means it doesn’t have the right slot for it if I remember correctly you have an AGP slot not PCIe 16x slot which is needed for the 7900. The best you’ll be able to do is 6800 ultra if I am not mistaken.

I thought not. It’s my Karma, I know it. Things like that NEVER work to my advantage. Thank you so much, though.
