Hey guys, I need some help. I have an Nvidia 9800 GT, unfortunately it has no HDMI ports for importing digital media.

Can anyone give me thoughts on a good graphics card, preferably equal to or more so to my 9800 (which I am fond of). I will be needing to start importing digital media for some post work and small projects in the near future.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts…

    Hi Stephen,

As far as I know, the HDMI port on a graphics display card will be OUTPUT ONLY. If you wish to capture video from an HDMI source, you will need a capture device, such as Black Magic Intensity (internal) or Matrox MXO2 Mini (external).

These units allow you to import (capture) video into various formats to suit your needs, and also provide monitoring (playback) via the HDMI output as well as analog outputs. You can keep your existing display card.
