I’ve just finished an edit and while I was checking it over I noticed something a bit strange.

Rather than use livetype, I used text within FC, some motion and some colour from the video generator, the problem is with the colour.

I set various key frames so that a thin band of blue is revealed at the same time as my text, rather than write in a new block of colour each time, I simply double clicked on my first colour clips and then overlaid them where I needed.

I changed the key frame values where necessary, in a couple of instances I needed to key frame opacity, so here’s where it gets a bit weird as far as I can tell.

When I watched it back one more time before sending to compressor, my little thin blue lines weren’t showing up, even though the opacity settings said they should, when I moved the key frame down to 0 and back up to 100, they re-appeared.

I sent to compressor and was applying various filters via my codec and I noticed in the viewer that the blue lines had disappeared again.

I’m waiting for it to finish compressing so that I can check, but correct me if I’m wrong, the compressor viewer shows what the final outcome is going to be right?

Anyway I’d appreciate if anyone had an answer for me, please ask if you need me to clarify my work flow.

    Many thanks.
