I’ve doing basic editing on Premiere for a couple years now. I first started with 6.X then went to Pro 1.5 and now 2.0.

a friend of mine recently gave me a project he created on Final Cut and he had some neat effects on his graphics. Even my mother-in-law had similar effects on a video she created from some editing software she bought for about $50. The letters in the title would run on the screen or explode or other effects. Is there a capability in Premiere or other Adobe product to do this kind of effect? I have CS2. Thanks.

In After Effects there are a bunch of preset text animations that sound similar to what you’re talking about. I don’t think there are any in premiere though.

I was afraid you’d say that, for some reason I have a fear of the new after effect, I guess I better start digging into the tutorials. Thanks for the answer
