    Hi –

Resolve keeps crashing my machine after giving the “GPU memory full” message.

    I’m on a Mac, running 10.11.6

    32GB Ram
    NVIDIA GeForce GTX680MX 2048MB

Is this enough horsepower to work in Resolve?

    Thanks!

What codec at what resolution are you editing?

It’s mostly 1080p, but I think I may have found my issue.

The video contains a LOT of stills that are sized down in Premiere. My guess is that importing and resizing a lot of 24mp files is what’s bringing me grief.

What I’ll do is make another version of my video, with the stills removed, correct that, and merge everything back in Premiere…

    Hi Frank,

I hope you have resolved your issue. When I install DaVinci Resolve 12 on my old Mac using a GPU with 2048 of memory the install told me that 4096 was the minimum recommended for this version. I had similar issues to what you have described until I upgraded the GPU. Here is a link that gives a list of project types and the GPU memory needed to run them. https://www.dcinema.me/davinci-resolve-system-requirements-a-reality-check/

    Hope it helps
