    Hi, I am a new user to Premier Pro. I have version 1.5. I am trying to use the GPU effects on still pictures (ripple, refraction, and page curl and I am getting no where. When I apply the ripple effect to the still, in the monitor view the picture just disappears. Page curl does nothing. If some one would be so kind as to help me I would appreciate it, or is it that you can not use this effect on a still picture.

    Yes, you can use the transitions on stills. Since the GPU transitions rely on your video card, there may be a problem there. Try installing the latest drivers for your video card and see if that helps.
