My Mac decided that booting was a luxury it didn’t need anymore. Basically forced to reinstall the OS. Most everything is up and back to where it was before except that I cannot seem to engage machine control despite reinstalling my external gPort drivers again. I checked my network and it is active. Our other Media100 running the internal serial adapter has the same settings I do. Yet no machine control. I am still a novice at the Mac yet it seems like this should be easy ’nuff…
    Am I missing something

Is the serial port recognized in Media 100s hardware setup (Device control)? If yes, do you get a error message or simply no response from the deck? Which OS and Media 100 version do you use?

    Duh,
I had the keyspan assistant external… I also had a bad deck control cable… up and running just fine. But I had to make sure the correct port was active in my network system preferences and make sure those details were the same in my M100 hardware prefs as well.
