Good ways to reduce file size of exported SWFs?
Hi,
I’ve never needed to export a .SWF from After Effects before, and I need to have a .swf ready for web tomorrow. And holy crap is it a large file.
It’s a 45 second animation with audio. I’ve gotten it down to 73MB but posterizing time (9fps) and lowering the JPG quality to medium. The boss wants it closer to 660KB!!! (And of course, by tomorrow)Is there any way to get this file size down that much? Any help is greatly appreciated!

You could bring an h.264 video into Flash and embed it there, perhaps. AE doesn’t export SWFs well at all.

Thanks! They ended up changing their minds and NOT wanting a swf and want an mp4 instead. But that is good to know in case I ever need to do it in the future!
