I am looking for a more quantitative way to get good skin coloration in AE. I’ve done a search, but the tutorials I find all end with a step that says something like, “then adjust until the skin tone looks correct.”

In photoshop, there are tons of articles and tutorials that correct the skin coloration by comparing the percentages of CMYK in the image. In AE, I can find nothing comparable to CMYK.

Anyone got a good technique to ensure that skin tone doesn’t look too yellow or too red? Or too blue, too green, etc?

Here’s a Community Help search for ‘skin tones’ that pulls up a few good resources.

At the bottom of this page, there’s a link to a post by Stu Maschwitz that gives some tips.

Color Finesse is a good tool for this sort of work.
